Tongue Tie

Among breastfeeding specialists today, tongue tie has emerged as a recognized cause of breastfeeding difficulties. It is present in 15-25% of newborns. Tongue Tie accounts for 25-60% of all breastfeeding problems in newborns. But, many mothers are unaware of what it is or what problems for mother and baby can result from it.  If you are struggling with a painful latch, sore or damaged nipples, have a baby who is not thriving or gaining weight adequately, or have a low milk supply, it is possible your baby has a lip or tongue tie that is affecting the nursing relationship.  We can help!  Please contact us for an evaluation and support.  We want all women to have a pain-free, enjoyable, fulfilling nursing relationship.
